Havenhills goes Wild!
The day will start with a welcome chat followed by a walk around the local area where I will search and explain the properties of various wild plants and how they can be used in the kitchen..
After the walk I will lead a workshop demonstrating how to transform your wild food finds so that you can add a little bit of wild into your regular diet, as we now know a more diverse array of plants is great for the microbiome and boosts our health in any number of ways.
We will sit down together for a buffet lunch which will comprise various dishes using the best of the seasonal produce we grow at Havenhills with a touch of the wild about it using locally foraged ingredients.
After lunch there is an optional garden tour of the Havenhills Field.

Tastes of WildLuing
Island of Luing
A late summer foraging and feasting weekend to celebrate Luing produce!
The weekend will run Friday 9th-Sunday 11th August 2024. Guests will be able to arrive from 4pm on the Friday to a BBQ hamper to make a delicious meal on their arrival.
I will lead a local Luing late summer foraging session on the Saturday morning, followed by a light buffet lunch incorporating some of the foraged finds. WildLuing is based on the shoreline and it is a great time of year to explore the shoreline and hedgerows for wild edibles which Luing has in abundance.
Then guests will have some free time in the afternoon to either relax in their WildSuites overlooking the sea or explore the island. The evening will commence with a ‘Learn to drink like a Forager’ workshop with me in the stunning observatory communal area, overlooking the water and Torsa island in the distance. This will be followed by a feast of local produce prepared in house by WildLuing. The island of Luing is fortunate to boost a plethora of local produce including Luing Beef and seafood amongst others which WildLuing will be showcasing on the night. We hope you can join us for the weekend!
This all-inclusive package is £660 for a WildSuite (based on 2 sharing) so £330 per person. This can be booked at www.wildluing.com on our shop page. 1 ticket covers 2 people in a WildSuite.
WildLuing is accessible by a short 5-minute ferry across from the mainland and only 30 minutes’ drive from the town of Oban, which has regular connections by train, bus, and ferry.
